Contemporary Keum Boo Necklace

What is Keum Boo? It is a super rad technique of fusing gold to the surface of sterling silver. The technique originated in Korea hundreds of years ago. It always offers a crisp contrasts in metals especially when the silver is oxidized black, like this necklace.
The texture on the surface comes from pressing corn husk in to the silver, leaving behind the parallel indentations.

The diamond and sapphires have been bezel set in silver.
